The ChamberWest Annual Fall Business Conference will be held Nov. 10 at the Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 S., West Valley City.
Registration and a continental breakfast begin at 7:15 a.m. along with networking and exhibitor tables.
Three keynote speakers are scheduled. At 8:15 a.m., Robert Spendlove, senior economist at Zions Bank, will speak on “Making Sense of a Puzzling Economy.” He’ll talk about the mixed signals the economy is sending, why it has proved more resilient than expected, where the pressure points lie, and what could tip the balance in the years ahead.
Speaking at lunch will be Andy Cindrich from Franklin Covey. His talk is titled “Help Your Organization Turn AI Investment Into Performance – Lead Differently.” He will explore how strong leadership can use AI to accelerate performance, while unclear processes can amplify confusion. Attendees will learn strategies for overcoming resistance, improving workflows, and helping employees embrace AI-driven change.
The closing session at 1:45 p.m. will feature Madeleine Jones, program associate and trainer with Dignity.us, an initiative of the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah. Her talk is titled “Leading with Dignity: Strengthening Culture, Trust and Leadership with The Dignity Index.” She helps organizations and communities build cultures where people can navigate differences with greater understanding and respect.
There will also be two breakout sessions, at 9:45 and 11:15 a.m. The first sessions offer three choices: “Future Forward: Economic Growth in Our Cities,” “Childcare as a Business Issue: Policy, Tax Credits & Opportunity” and “Surviving the Changes in Business: Lessons in Business Resilience.”
The second sessions offer “Building the Fire: Spotting, Developing and Unleashing the Next Generation of Leaders,” “Cybercrime & Business” and “Built to Last: Leading Through Tariffs, Shortages and the Unexpected Industry Shifts.”
