Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah has announced that several people have earned endowed chair appointments. Endowed chairs provide philanthropic support that fuels high-impact cancer research; strengthens scientific leadership; and accelerates breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Beckerle Presidential Endowed Chair in Cancer Research and Leadership. The new chair was established by the Jon M. and Karen Huntsman family in honor of Beckerle's longstanding leadership at Huntsman Cancer Institute.
