Luis Batista named Huntsman Cancer Institute Presidential Chair in Hematologic Malignancies Research

Huntsman Cancer Institute at the University of Utah has announced that several people have earned endowed chair appointments. Endowed chairs provide philanthropic support that fuels high-impact cancer research; strengthens scientific leadership; and accelerates breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Luis Batista, hematologic oncologist and researcher at Huntsman Cancer Institute and professor of internal medicine at the University of Utah, has been appointed the Huntsman Cancer Institute Presidential Chair in Hematologic Malignancies Research. This is Batista's first endowed chair recognition.
